Well I'm not sure as to what you are trying to do but G31 is command for moving a axis to home, usually for a Ohmic sensor. It may be a command that can not be run as a starting step, YOu may move back in the G-code to the last M5 and try it from there of set next step.

When I have seen that it means there is a problem with that line in how it is constructed, other words the command is not valid (not G-31 but something on that line). When you load the G-code does it stop on that line, I think Mach reads the g-code when loaded to look for problems and will stop on the line it does not like. This is to find a problem before stating an operation, I don't know why just that is what I have seen.

there is not a problem with the g code as it runs fine it is something to do with g31 being a action code ,i have tried writing macros to include this within a mcode but that also does not work

Her is a small file that used the G31, un-zip it and see if your Mach will display it without stopping. When you load the .tap file in mach it should run through it and stop at this top line of code, ready to run. you do not need to cut it just see if it will complete the load in Mach.

ok thanks for your help, finally managed to sort it the run from here does not work with g31 full stop removed from the xtreme cnc plasma screenset what you need to do is scroll down to a x/y axis movement before the g31 cycle just press set next line and cycle start works like a charm

g 31 is a probe command for the torch IHS then in your post processor you put in the switch offset for the torch cut height

as for run from hear button the only program I know of is uccnc plasma works very well I have a table with uccnc thers a run from hear button . also in the event of a tip up stop you just simply re start no need to go back un less needed
