Pierce delay not delaying???

Post by TrinityFabworks »

I'm using sheetcam and mach 3 on a home built plasma table. Recently in noticing that my z drops to cut height and the gantry starts to move before my torch fires. It seemed to go away when I clicked the "THC ON" button on the screen. I keep my thc off during small inside cuts for better cut quality. I program these first, then turn on the thc for the larger cuts once the small ones are done. By switching off "thc on" button, is mach 3 no longer needing an arc ok signal before it begins to move?

Yeah, I have a pierce delay setting. It is set at .3s for 16 gauge. It seems to only take pierce delay into account when thc is switched on in mach
