That's a pretty slick deal!! I wish I had more time so I could build one. There are just so many of these sort of cool projects out there that come up and we just can't do them all. But I'll bet the guy in the video that designed and built it had a ball doing it.

Id be interested in this if it's possible to use a sharpie OR a pen. Is that possible, or easily modded to do so?

Nice job Tom! What is it that you are cutting, and does it cut all the way thru or just etch on the top?

Do you mean a ball point pen? I think the one I bought from Tom can handle both sharpie and pen. But using a ball point pen can often times be problematic. I like to use a fine tip sharpie for detailed work, or a regular sharpie for the remainder. You just have to remember to put the cap back on the sharpie when finished drawing so the tip doesn't dry out.

But I thought the video showing the pen holder and torch being mounted at the same time was a pretty slick deal. Very cool - he was drawing his bend lines and then cutting out the part. I would like to have that capability, even though there are other ways to accomplish the same end result.

The bend lines can be separated out with SheetCam's layer tool, and made as a separate G-code. Then marked before the cutting the other layers in a different G-code.
