Hey Dave, your original DXF on the previous page is opening fine for me in CorelDraw. Must just be the software the other member is using, common issues with dxf's.

I second the idea. I realize we have the task area and I've contributed there and I've utilized the entire site and exceptionally energetic about the ability and sharing of all. Be that as it may, I get a kick out of making my own devices and stuff so it would be great to have a record and picture sharing gathering devoted to this space of interest.

I have cut some stuff from this thread. Thought I would add one. Did not see a flap disc holder on here. I would resize the holes in the corners if I were to cut another one. Used the middle holes to place the rods.

I have a grinder holder, so I suppose I'll have to make a disc holder to go with it! :HaHa

Here is a replay of the bottle tags from here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=21498&p=128016&hili ... ag#p128016

Ran out of welding gas last night, luckily is today was Friday and I was able to fill them... these should help with inventory.

Edit: Had to open up the center hole due to different size caps.

Bottle markers! What a great idea, these are perfect, thanks guys. I think I will go for Joe's design just cause it seems easier to cut 1 design and flip them depending on whether it's full or empty. Don't see a file for Joe's, mind if I do a quick auto trace these Joe?

Here is the DXF file.

CAUTION! I just DREW these. I did not scale them at all. so they could be too small, or too large for gas bottles. you will have to scale them to your needs. The current hole size is 9.7" :Wow

Bend the flap to 90 degrees and hang them over the "shoulder" of the bottle.

I was going to do the needle version, but since i have a bunch of 22ga galv, this method seemed easiest with only needing 2 cut operations.. the reliefs are not really needed, i left them for visualization.

Ya, i'm a dummy. Now that I looked at your design closer it is equally as easy. Both are great and an awesome idea.

I have downloaded a lot of the Tool holders ,and yesterday I have cut a few out off .8mm gal sheet .Some were good ,some are workable but the lettering over cut
First one the fonts did not work out ,and the pins to hang the spanners are also on the thin side
Image

The next two came out good they are for a socket set and screwdrivers
Image

Top one is for a Spanner set came out good
Image

Next one is for Flap discs holes in corners is quit big .But nobody said you cant use M12 or 1/2'' bolts to attach it to the wall

Image

Tape measure holder this one didn't work unless you want to do a bit off welding

Image

Grinder holder only the Lettering fault

Image

Air tool holder works the two O's cut out like the next photo ,but then the torch came around again and just left the two big holes for the two O;s but it will work

Image

Another Air tool holder with the two O's cut correctly

Image

Bolt cutter holder works

Image

File holder is good

Image

That's it all cut out for a test out off .8mm gal sheet that was laying around

This is for a pair of Players

Image

Some off them bend up

Image

Took just over an hour to cut

Those are some nice looking holders. Even with some of the over cuts, just think what it would be like if you didn't have your cnc plasma table and had to do this stuff by hand. That's the way I look at it. So a few mistakes along the way - really no problem. I remember when I made a tool holder for CP planishing hammer dies. I engraved the sizes first with one cnc table, then moved to the other to cut the holes and outer perimeter with bend line slots.
These were both Plasmacam tables using the same program. But I miscalculated and after bending one set of engravings ended up on the side of the holder instead of on the top. It still works as intended, but - oh well! It's still great fun to do these little projects.

David yes they will work .I'm new to CNC and drawing .I'm trying to fix the files I have used ,with Inkscape. But that is a whole new world for me.Best thing on that program is the UNDO (rewind) button. :HaHa

Very much agree! I hit the undo button all the time.
