horizontal lifting clamp

Post by Haye »

Hi folks,

I don't have my table yet however thinking about some small things to cut. Started drawing a horizontal sheet clamp to be cut out of 8mm material. Might be a good idea to alter the design a bit and cut two of the 'body' files to make it symmetric.

something like this. 10mm spacing in between to accommodate 2 washers. Designed for a 16mm bolt to hold it together

Nice!! What program are you using for the drawings? The first dxf opened, but I couldn't get the second one to open.

thats strange. This one is drawn in fusion360, exported as single dxf's per part, then combined in illustrator. Ill re-upload the second one again tomorrow.

Hereby the new file. Please not I haven't cut it myself, haven't cut anything at all ;-) What tolerances do people use for the tab/slot system? I have drawn some lasercut parts, those almost always fit snug without any offset.
