Thanks for the comments!
Here's 2 updated versions I've been donating to schools in the area to auction off to raise money!
The 2 pc makes it look good and easy to powder coat!
I also do a version where the owl & Eagle head stay bare metal! (Pic FFA alt) No boarder edge!

Hope someone can use it!

I have a HyperTherm PowerMax 65 on an ArcLight 4x4 table. How do I make such detailed and small cuts? It seems if I get too small the quality drops and the detail seems melted.

There does come a point where things are too small and things just won't work out.

Cut speed and cut height plays a roll in this also so you want to be sure you are dialed in.

Are you using Finecut consumables?

I'm honestly not sure. We just got the system in our high school agriculture shop. I am still learning the basics. We have whatever consumables came with the machine when we got it. What do I need to check and what do you recommend running on it?

Ok then I am sure you will be able to get much better results as you work with it and get familiar.

I would suggest using Finecut consumables shown below
Finecut.PNG
Also follow Hypertherms cut speed charts for good starter settings shown below
Settings.PNG
To download all the cut speed charts for your Hypertherm 65 so you can print them use this link https://www.plasmaspider.com/download/c ... Charts.pdf

Once you determine what consumables you have, be sure they are in good condition, go the to correct cut speed chart and use the appropriate settings and do a test cut on a simple shape. Get back to us with your results and/or questions.

As "weldguy" stated try some FineCut Consumables and start with the settings from the charts!
Also make sure your air supply is at the right pressure and has a good "air dryer" setup to supply clean dry air to aid in consumable life!
For the layered FFA signs I use 20ga cold rolled or P&O steel, the thinner guage keeps weight down and increases cut speed at the same time! When glued together it is still a tough sign! I do some single layer out of 20ga also, but normally use 14 or 16 guage!
With my Hypertherm 85 I cut 20ga with FineCut at 315ipm at 36amps which is lower than the charts say on amps, but I've found I have dross left on the back then I have at higher amp settings!
