Powermax 45xp Torches on Powermax 65

Post by Ironken »

I currently have a PM45xp with machine torch, 15 degree and 75 degree Duramax torches. I may end up selling the 45xp along with the machine torch. My question is..will the 75/15 degree torches work on a PM65 at full output or at all? I intend on purchasing the 65 with machine torch for better duty cycle at lower amperages and greater cut capacity.

Personally I would give it a shot, and just watch the duty-cycle.. Done this with a SL-60 torch instead of SL-100 many times.. (Thermal Dynamics) Maybe use the 45 amp stuff, and 65 amp in a pinch.

Thank you, Jim. Can I use my current torches at full output of the PM65 with the appropriate consumables?
