Powermax 1650 question

Post by Dragfluid »

I recently purchased a used DHC2, and it came with a 1650, with a machine torch. I don't have 3 phase. From all the info that I've found so far, it's telling me that it's strictly a 3 phase only machine. So, since I've discovered this place, and that I see Jim is a active member, I just wanted to be absolutely sure that I can't use this machine with my table. It seems that HT doesn't recommend using a phase converter, and a VFD of adequate size would cost more than a new plasma cutter.

Thanks!

BTW, my buddy down the road has given me the use of his 1000 until I sell the 1650.

Correct 3 phase only,
I have a 1250 that was the largest you could go at that time which was combo single or three phase unit.
