Air CFM required

Post by leggman »

I am looking to buy a new air compressor for my mechanic/fab shop and I believe the biggest air hog will be my plasma table. I am running a powermax 45 and was wondering what the CFM requirements of that would be. Thanks

I think the rule of thumb is to size your compressor 150% of your cfm requirements to allow the compressor to cycle and cool. If you require 10 cfm, you would need a compressor that creates 15 cfm.
