Been trying to figure something out and am hoping one of you knew the answer.
I have a pm45xp with a machine torch 059477 and a pm65 with a hand torch 087142. Both are being used on plasma tables. I would like to use the pm65 on the table with the machine torch 059477.
If you look at the hand torch one of the pins is pushed in and on the receptacle where it plugs in 2 of the pins are jumpered together.
The machine torch doesn't have the short pin so it won't go all the way in.
I'm trying to figure out if this jumper is factory or added or what. So to make this short story longer if anyone could help appreciate it.

the jumper is NOT factory added....
it is a hack (that I use too) to use a hand torch on a CNC machine
if you have a machine torch then remove the jumper and the plug will go in fine and work just fine

Should I move it to the pm45xp to use the hand torch with it with the cnc? Thanks for the help!

The jumper is a safety hazard, not recommended by Hypertherm. It will allow the hand torch to fire from the machine, which historically has proven dangerous. (a good sized shop burned to the ground after a hand torch was accidentally fired when the operator thought he had plugged in the machine torch). The court system found the plasma manufacturer at fault and it was costly. The interlocks on the system are for safety. Jim Colt
