I'm sure this must have been covered before but I couldn't find it on the forum
I have a new Powermax 45xp and have been trying to tune it in It's good on thick stuff no dross at all really but on this there isn't enough definition (less than 10 gauge) so i guess I need Finecut consumables.
Do I go for shielded or unshielded? I have a THC and have ohmic detection.

I think everyone pretty much uses shielded consumables for everything. At least I do, for one.

I believe that if you want to use ohmic detection you will have to run the shield.
