XP 45 Settings

Post by kev20009 »

Hi guys new to plasma, got a xp45 on my diy plasma table, just a couple of things as im tuning to get it right,

do you guys with the xp45 or higher, go by the book settings, leaving it at 45 amps, and controlling volts with THC,
and leaving pierce at 3.8 and cut at 1.5 mm book speed seems very fast for me, this is only on 3mm mild steel at the minute with 45 amp tips as this all that come with the 45,

thanks guys for any help and if you want to add tips for me that be great kev

I've found the book settings to be very accurate.

Ditto on the book settings.
Also, I stay away from the knock-off consumables.
They look similar, but do not give the desired results over the long haul. IMO.

+1 for the knock off consumables being junk.
