PM torch pointer?

Post by DynMetalworks »

Sometime back I come across a picture of a precision pointer that went in the retaining cap on a PM torch. It could be used to precisely place the torch prior to cutting. I'm interested in buying one, but can not find a supplier. Does anyone here know of these and where I could find them? Thanks

You may have that confused with the easy scriber, which attaches to the torch as consumables do. What is much simpler is adding a laser crosshair and write a small routine to move the tip to where the laser was pointing.

Drill out an old nozzle and insert a wire or nail.

For $50, you could set up a nice laser crosshair and have some change. I'm with Acourtjester here. Much faster!

do you really want to fiddle with the torch and consumables more than you have to swapping things in and out?

The EasyScriber does do a great job with the added bonus of being a torch pointer :Like
