Hypertherm Edge THC problem

Post by rick_b »

I have a problem with the THC on my new plasma that no one seems to be able to fix. When the sheet bows up the torch follows it up with no problems but when it clears the bow it takes way too long for it to come back down to cut height which means it will not cut the sheet.

Rick - I don't know anything about the Hypertherm Phoenix software, but I expect there may be some height control adjustment settings available in your control software. For my Plasmacam Design Edge software, there are settings available for max climb rate and max dive rate. If you have these, then try increasing your max dive rate.

If you've got some settings pages, maybe post some screen shots so we can have a look.
