Great question.....you need to be running windows 98 or if I remember correctly windowsXP will emulate windows 98 if you are using an older version of PlasmaCam.

W98??
My DHC2 runs fine on W7 Pro. The neighbors DHC runs on XP.

Did I miss a memo?

Seems I heard somewhere it needs to be Win7 or older but that's all speculation. I use 3.11 on my Windows 10 laptop but for design and support only, I've never tried a Windows 10 machine on 3.11 to run a table.

To actually operate the table it will need to be Win7 or older as it will still support a LPT port, Win10 does not.

Interesting. I don't know what the limitations are for 3.11 at all personally but I do use Windows 10 with Design Edge to control my table on the LPT port just fine.

That's very interesting, I have had no luck with Win 10 but I am not great with computers so I took my laptop to a computer shop and they said Win 10 won't support the LPT port. Did you have to do anything special to make it work?

I use a desktop for table control. Laptops with LPT ports are hard (impossible) to come by. Nothing special, I think I have a BrainBoxes parallel card but I do always recommend the Axxon card for Plasmacam and the drivers for those cards work great with Windows 10.
