OK I screen shot you fish and these are the steps to take for make it useable. First do a trace bitmap (under the Path menu) then separate the original form the traced drawing on the screen. Next with the traced drawing selected (box surrounding it) click on the shift plus ctrl and F keys, this brings up then "Fill and Stroke" menu. Click on the X under the fill tab this will remove the color of the lines in the path (which are the lines without the fill). the move to the stroke section and click on the box to put a color on the lines. The click on the Stroke style and change the size of the stroke to about 0.004" this make the line small and more in the size you want for Plasma paths.

I forgot to say use "brightness cutoff" for the trace for this type of drawing. Edge detection will give you a trace on both sides of the lines(double lines) not good the normal tracing.
