Multi Color Finishes.

Post by sfrsdavis »

I am new to powder coating and want to make the tattered flags and other multi color items. Any one have tips and tricks to do multi colored items? Masking off or vacuum what’s the secret. Or video links. Thanks!

I'll use tape, vacuum with micro attachments, and finger wipe with a glove depending on what I am doing. You can also use the sheets of magnets cut into strips, etc. Flow each layer, unless you are doing a fade, some fades you would want to let each layer flow out. They can be tricky, but not too bad once you get it down. Some I just don't have the patience for at times!

Thanks. I forgot to add that you can also use high temp vinyl for masking and pull it after flow out. You can also use a cricut for detailed cuts.

Great Work! Thanks for the help! I'll be trying it soon. Firgured it would be trial and error.
