looking for a 2d pipe template or calculator

Post by alonzo83 »

I am not certain that is the best title but here goes.

My company is going to be fabricating a 36" goose neck pipe that will require a bunch of 22.5" pipe cuts and some saddles.

I am trying to get a drawing for some light steel to wrap around the large pipe and make the marks on where to cut the 22.5" and the saddles without doing a bunch of layout time.

Anyone have any suggestions to achieve these. templates?

Thanks for reading.

If you happen to have Design Edge, then there is a shape tool that will do this for you as well.

Wow! I really thought is was a free online calculator. Not quite sure I would pay $359 for this though. But if you can make money with it and it pays for itself quickly, then I could see someone making that investment.

I have just used the free part a few times to print templates. It looks like the paid version is for commercial use and is more robust.

I just noticed that they do have a free download. It has all the capabilities of the commercial version, with the exception that it will not print or export as dxf. It would be simple enough to do an auto trace from screen shot and convert to dxf format, so still pretty handy.
