OXT to DXF

Post by BMCF »

Hi. I was looking around on Langmuir's Fireshare site. I found a few files to download, but when I went to open them, they are a .oxt file. It is from OpenOffice, a free source program. Can anyone convert a couple files to just dxf's? Or recommend a place to do it?

Have you tried to just changing the file extension, that works sometimes.

Please post a link to the page with the file download so we can have a look.
Thanks,

I forgot to add, Its not like im trying to steal someones file. The files posted on that site are free, as long as you make an account. You use to be able to download .svg and .dxf. But sometime recently, they changed the file format.

Here you go. File needed to be unpacked first. I also edited to remove unwanted intersections.

Thanks adbuch! What did you use to unpack it? I am using Windows whatever latest and greatest version is. I didn't see an option for it. I do use OpenOffice, so maybe that's my problem? Since I have it, maybe it associated itself with the program?

Here is the process I followed. I use Bitzipper for unzipping (decompressing or unpacking) compressed files. There are other programs which do the same thing.

You most likely have something like WinZip for windows. My suggestion would be to open your WinZip program first, then locate your zipped file from within the program. That's what I do with BitZipper. It looks like BitZipper is no longer available, but there is an "improved" version available. Tom may have some ideas as to which one is the cheapest to use. It looks like WinZip is a free download, but I'm not sure how many files you can unzip before purchase is required.
