Can someone help with a conversion?

Post by Masons Forge »

My friends dog died of cancer and he wants to make a grave marker for him. He said he needs this as a SVG for his laser engraver. I can't get a good trace on it.
Thanks
Josh

I thought laser engravers worked with bitmap images and did not require a conversion to vector lines. Just curious if anyone knows the answer.

The home hobby lasers work with bitmap images and vector lines. They can cut out a shape or they can fill in a shape with a gradient for example. The software determines what the laser will do with any given shape.

10-4, thanks Joe. I didn't realize the engravers would cut on a vector line also, I always thought they worked like a printer and only went from side to side.
