DXF convert to SVG

Post by Bigdogbro1 »

Hello,

I am saving the Solidworks 2013 .sldprt 3D files as 2D DXF and then import into Inkscape. Seems that the DXF files when brought into Inkscape thru import don't have the vector nodes connected together as a continuous line. I tried Inkscape COMBINE and more. Nothing seems to get the nodes connected. I've looked a software but it's pricey.

Any help would be great.
Thanks

for Inkscape to bring in a DXF of SVG use the open command above the import command under the file tab.
I don't know about 3D files formats but this works for 2D fine.

Thanks, but the DXF files are 2D and when brought into Inkscape none of the lines are connected. They are all just segments.
