Re: Tool & Garage Organization Thread
This is a terrific thread and lots of great files/ideas here! Many thanks to all of you!
I have been working on a screwdriver/file rack for a few days now trying to develop my drawing and lay-out skills... If I ever get it right I will share it as well!

Re: Tool & Garage Organization Thread
Recently bought a Harbor Freight tool cart to store all the tooling for my lathe. The tailstock has a MT4 taper, so I cut a rack for the tools.

We modified a Spider file for paint can. Intalled it in the top of a new Milwaukie tool chest.
Enjoy

Here is a Collet Rack I made for my Mill. The bend lines are to be cut in it. I made mine out of 14ga. because that's what I had on the table.

Thanks for this share - trying to get organized and this will helpkkroger wrote:Air Tool Racks as I do them, also has a spot for the never present Air Tool Oil.
I powdercoat them in a single stage "Chrome" which is really just a silver not a two stage Chrome look.
I also do some in Black Wrinkle... The two end holes are 16" on center to fit stud C2C width.
I bend them in the sheet metal brake so there are no slots...
I also have a Visegrip rack that hangs them from the adjusting screw instead of the jaws.
ETA I make them from 18 ga sheet, works fine but I don't have the weakening brakeless bend slots.

Re: Tool & Garage Organization Thread
Drew this up tonight. I have a hutch as well, but I spent a TON of time on it and hate giving it away. It should fit a KRA2422 snap on box or a 2421. Possibly more. 24" deep box using the handle mounting holes.

dichdoc wrote:My new Favorite! I have always stored my big c clamps on the edge of this shelf. Takes to long to tighten them each down so they end up hanging there. All good until I reach behind them and they crash to the ground! Inspired by the vise grip rack posted I drew it up for my clamps (the first two on the left are bigger) I also clearanced two of my other clamps to fit the "standard" notch
Hello, First post, I was trying the c-clamp file from this thread. I get a partially complete drawing, is this so you can scale accordingly to required length or have I only got a fragment of the drawing.
Thanks,Ian
