Something I just ran into I bought a refurb PC to use on a new table I am building, it had win 7 64 bit and would not see the printer port.
(There is no parallel port option for 64bit OS's, whether thats Mach3 or 4) is what I found on the web so I had to junk that version of windows.
Loaded another from a old system and all works well now (printer test worked).
