I need some fast help

Post by gocanes719 »

Im an FFA advisor and our chapter has experienced a tragic fire recently. My students lost their animal projects and we lost our FFA barn. We are trying to raise funds to rebuild. I have several people that have expressed interest in us cutting them some signs. We are working to try to fund raise with our plasmacam by making some custom signs for individuals.
Most of the work requires some re-lettering but some may require a little design work. I normally do the design myself but I am painfully slow. If any of you are really proficient and can help me I would really appreciate it. We have a plasmacam DHC. I am trying to get all of this work out asap before the customers lose interest. We have a lot of money to raise to build our facility.

Here is the link to our story, I am not just trying to find someone to do work for me. We are really in need:

Communities can really come together at times like these. And we can help.

Gary, If you would be willing to come up with a simple sign that shows a community members' support of the FFA during this tragedy - and give us some parameters - I think a few of us would be more than willing to cut a few and send them to Texas. Give us the thickness and we can all cut to your dimensions.

I'm thinking about something like; I Support the FFA / Chapter and date. The locals wouldn't be buying the sign for its 'artistic value', but as a token item that shows their ($$) support. Like those people having their name cut into a brick for a new park... A fundraiser keepsake.

Give them to the donors as a thank you - hit the local businesses hard!

Just a thought,,, Hope you get the program back up and running soon.

Before you jump at this make sure that the money is going to the kids and there projects. Schools has insur. The barn will get rebuild with insure. money. These kids need the money for all they lost. Something like this happend around us and everyone gave money for the "school barn" and it was not used for that. If it goes to the kids then I am all in. I dont wont to be neg. but when people give and then it does go to where it need to go that is'nt right. Just me 2 cents.

How about a keychain? I could be wrong but I'm not too sure that branded metal signs would make good fundraisers.

We have no insurance on the facility. We rent the land, and the district doesn't carry any insurance for it.

(good because information and parameters are not my forte)

these are not to scale, I usually leave all that up to the cutters...
