Coast Guard Logo?

Post by slvr98svt »

Would anyone happen to have the US Coast Guard logo as a dxf? I have a customer who would like me to make a coat rack with anchors kind of like the deer with hooves rack but I don't have a logo and before I draw it was thinking I would ask here.

Thanks,
-Matt

Heres another Coasty logo. Just talked to 4 of them today. They came out on the ice of Green Bay with an air boat. We were recovering a truck that had gone through the ice. I should have sold them a stainless logo for the new airboat

You are welcome for the file. It's part of the military group I posted a while back. All of the services are there.

Company D, 168th Engineer (Combat) Batallion, 20th Engineer Brigade Vietnam 69-70. We supported the 1st Infantry, 1st Cavalry, 11th ACR, 9th Infantry and the 25th Infantry. We'd either fill in the puddle or put a bridge over it.

On this topic, is it possible to make a DXF from this sign? This are some pics of my dads tour. He is "Agent Orange" positive. He has just recovered from the effects of it and I would like to make a nice sign to celebrate yet another victory.

My mom gave me all his photo albums from his tour a few years ago to scan and put to a DVD, very powerful pics. I have very large tiffs or jpgs and the original if more resolution would help. I can do the grunt parts of bridging and tabbing the text of course.

Thanks for any help!

I wouldn't mind seeing what you all come up with.
I was a grunt with the "Big Red One" from 1983 to 1986, stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas.
The division motto is " No Mission Too Difficult, No Sacrifice Too Great, Duty First", you might be able to incorporate the motto into something. I'm sure some of what you come up with will be popular with anyone that served up to and including the present.
If I remember correctly one of my friends had a file of a Coast Guard Cutter, I'll check it out when I see him again.
Thanks to all of you for your service.

I had a few minutes to kill so I thought I'd give you a start. It's hard to make out the pics so I hope they are right. You are going to have to put some work into it. :D

Thanks Chopper John! I have a idea to do this in three layers, one larger than the white area to put behind as a dimension to show the text and the white layer to cut out the text and the third or top layer will be the co. insingias and the soldier painted up nicely.

Thank a bunch.

That looks like the rubber trees at Lai Khe, home of radio "KLIK, serving all the heads of the Big Red One." It was better than AFVN. It's hard to believe that it was 40 odd years ago.
