Need help understanding what I am doing wrong

I built this cut file today, I have an opportunity to make a decent side buisness if I can get this right. I start the file in Inkscape and then take it over to autocad to do the editing. I can muddle my way through that pretty easily but when I load the file into my cam software (Coreo) all the lead ins come from the outside of the cut and pass over my art work. I can load other pre made files in and the software puts the lead ins in the correct place. Am I doing something wrong in autocad that is causing this?

Do you have an open path somewhere? SheetCam will invert the lead ins if the outside of the shape isn't closed. Not sure about Coreo. If you can, show the path ends in your cam software (SheetCam does this) and see if you have ends in what should be a closed object.

Ended up with a field job in the morning, but ill load it up and try it tomorrow evening and will let you know how it worked. I don't know what you did, but I appreciate you trying to help me and if it works I hope you don't mind me picking your brain to find out how I am messing up.

Although I have not been able to test it yet, could you tell me how you joined the poly lines to create a continueous path. This has been an issue for me that I can not seem to find the answer to. I have tried the spline, fit and join functions and can not seem to make it work. Does path array play an important role?

I closed and joined the contours with VCarvePro, and remove the start arcs.

Just wanted to let you know that it cut perfectly! Thank you, it prompted me to redirect my mind and I was able to figure out how to "JOIN" all my poly lines. Now if I can just figure out how to make auto cad tell my cam software where to start my lead ins, I'll be in business.

Are you using multiple layers in Autocad? I use Inside, Outside and Scribe as my three layers. In Autocad when I am finished creating my art and have edited and created joined polyines I window everything and put on layer inside, then select the outside contour and put on layer outside. If there is a scribe object I put that on scribe layer. Save.
Then in SheetCam when I import drawing and apply the cutting tools it knows to put lead ins on inside cuts inside the cutout. Not sure what cam software you use or are referring to.

I have only been using layers for technical drawings, never considered it for the art work (but will give it a try on my next piece). Let me make sure I understand, you build your piece and then divide it into layers?

Not sure with your cam but in sheetcam, you can select objects and move them onto another layer. That lets you use a different tool (eg drill of center punch) on different layers. Your cam probably allows something similar.

I use Coreo a Multi Cam product, I am working every day to get it figured out.

Let me make sure I understand, you build your piece and then divide it into layers?

I have a template created for Autocad that has my layers created, units formatted, etc. but to answer your question yes, I do all the drawing, tracing, etc on one layer and then separate them later. I just found it easier.
