The plasma cutter technology is new to our high school. This was our trial run. the design was created by a graphics student, drawn by a CAD student and cut out by a Metal student. The design is for a Hot Rod Show for a Scholarship in Honor of one our alumni that was KIA in Afghanistan.

I also wish that we'd had cnc plasmas or any cnc for that matter when I was in school. Glad to see kids learning this stuff in school. Very nice work guys. Can't wait to see more once you get used to the new machine. Congrats and good luck.

Excellent work. How did they make those double bends on the fish's tail?

Thanks for the compliments. The students of the work I posted are pretty stoked. The cnc plasma cutter has definitely amped up the students projects. I originally intended on it being used by Metal II and Advanced, but the Metal I students just took off with it. I didn't want to deter them, plus my CAD classes are creating signs with it. There is not very much down time for it. We are still are having growing pains with warpage but we are getting a better grasp on it at least.
