Computer has been sitting exposed in the metal shop for years (I am just the tech, not my doing). It is time to replace the computer, it is running Windows 2000 and not going to live much longer.
Owner has no problem buying a 'newer' computer and OS version availability is not a issue. What is the issue is the LPT port. Has anyone tried running PlasmaCam DHC through a USB to LPT adapter? Or currently available AXXON cards?
Or any other suggestions, apparently they have tried other newer computers with LPT ports built-in but PlasmaCam is not recognizing that it is there.
I would welcome any suggestions that have succeeded - I have already suggested upgrading to something newer, but the owner doesn't want to learn anything else. Old dogs...new tricks, kind of thing.

The correct AXXON card would be the best way to go. USB will not work with PlasmaCam.
