You just need to incase your lettering somehow, it is sitting in the silhouette cut out area. Hope that makes sense, because I suck at explaining things. Here is a picture for reference.

One thing that helps me when doing design and layout is to do a solid fill on it so you can visualize what will be solid and what is a hole, what's attached or not, find the "holes inside holes" and so on.
If your drawing software doesn't do fills you can paste the drawing into MS Paint and do it there.
