Favorite Fonts for sign making

Post by FlatironFabrication »

Just wondering if any of the more experienced members would be willing to share what their favorite fonts are and where they can be downloaded.
Looking at the pre-loaded fonts on my machine most are too thin to bother with.
I am hoping to find a few 'go-to' fonts for sign making.

Many of the fonts are in a folder under the windows folder. Now if you use Inkscape you can change the thickness of fonts, or select the bold option for font. Another thing is use caps that does change the size and shape of the fonts. What I may like to use may not be yours. If you use Inkscape you can add bridges in the letter to stop dropout. Do a search on this site back some time and it was shown how to do it.

I don't have any "go to" fonts, I find I always need to find a font that suits the job and just modify it to work. Like acourtjester said you can often change a thin looking font to bold and thicken it up
