Complete new guy
Hey there, found the page while searching if its possible to make some side money from a table after one came up for sale from a sxs parts maker I buy things from, I missed out buying that one but figured i would still join at look at other tables for sale, completely clueless when it comes to a plasma table other than I know how to operate a handheld cutter, looking to learn a bunch and maybe buy a used unit. Thinking of making signs, decorations and fire pits to recoupe some money and make jeep and sxs parts for myself.

Well there you go 2 guys happy, when you pose questions include table brand (or DIY type) and the software you are using. That way it will direct it to a member who can help the quickest.

Nice! What kind of table did you buy? There is lots of information here about all sorts of tables and cutters. Will look forward to seeing some pictures of your new toy and some of your projects.

Update. In checking some of your other posts, I see that you bought an Avid table. They make some nice stuff! I have one that I use for cnc routing, and another one for machining small aluminum parts. I'm very happy with the build quality of the Avid machines, and hopefully you are as well.

I like this combo router/plasma setup. This might be perfect for the hobby guy/gal with limited space in the garage.
