Hello from Big Lake Minnesota

Post by Rodsystel59 »

Been setting up my shop for retirement activities, not just there yet on either of them. I find myself using my plasma table more than anything else in my shop. Always looking for new information to make better items.

Welcome aboard Ah yes retirement, great place to be. I was told before I retired you still will not have enough time, yes on that account. :HaHa
Look around you will see there are optional attachments you can put on your table to have even more fun. :Yay I have a drag knife, diamond scribe, and router I attach to mine. :Like Many fun projects to be had.

I'm curious about that last one Jester... is that wood, then engraved with a router?

By the way, welcome from Wisconsin Rod!

Yes sir I use a "V" bit and a program called EstlCam ($55.) does a great job. I paint the wood and cover it with sign vinyl and route through it and mask and paint the letter using different colors as I go. I did a bunch of award plaques for a guy who does fancy chicken shows. :Yay

Very clever method to mask/paint the letters! I was just wondering how you did it - thanks for the explanation.
