A few items.

Post by cstroke »

A chandelier for a local campgrounds cabin.
A few outside entry lights for the same cabin. I wish I would have gotten some good pictures of these, I was fairly happy with them.
Fundraiser dragonfly(similar to the large one I made a while ago) with a custom tag I made with a laser engraver.
laser engraved tag for campgrounds donation.

Those are all very nicely done! Great work. What kind of finish is that on the moon/dragonfly?

The dragonfly was translucent powdercoating with a clear powdercoating.
The chandelier was bare metal with a flat clear to make it look older, other accent parts were black textured powdercoating.

Excellent work! Did you tape or vacuum/finger wipe the dragon fly piece?

Not sure if this would work but after viewing videos on small powder coating techniques. I thing if you used a heat gun or other methods to make the metal hot and then sprinkling the powder on the sections you want (powder coating in a salt shaker). The heated metal will slightly melt (collect on the metal) and then finish with an oven cook. This would be very close to the fluidizing powder coating application.
This guy shows the procedure and also used a paint brush to mix colors too.
