Registered Trademarks

Ok i need to figure this out. I have heard alot of different stuff. If you trace an image off the internet that has a trademark and you change it a little bit . Can you still get in trouble for it and if so what can they do. I dont want to have any problems and I want to be legal with my work. So what do i do . Also how can you get permission to use it. I sure hope someone can help me with this. And again thanks to all of you for making this such a kick ass web site . It has been so helpful in the learning process of my machine. Thank You All.

I own a registered trademark. I and many other companies do not really care if you infringe on our trademark as long as credit is given. However - many companies will very aggresively pursue anyone infringing upon their trademark. So the best thing you can do is to ask before using!
