Joe,
It is a 1949 Ford 8N.
If you don't need a loader on the front they are a good choice.
Last forever, *very easy to fix and work on* and parts are all over the place.
This one is 62 years old and has never had a rebuild *yet* runs good and still chugs along with decent oil pressure.
I use it to cut over 100 acres of nasty brush and it does the trick.
I bought it because there are a lot of parts still in production and my old John Deere was getting very hard to find parts for.
The key is to get something that will work and not take a lot of work to keep working
I figure this winter I will put an engine rebuild kit in it along with a hydraulic pump kit and it will run another 62 years.
Heck, its just a big lawn mower anyway......
Maybe put it in a few parades here and there too.
I love working on these old tractors, has become a hobby now.
Add a plasma cutter and a few metal working tools to the picture and "yous be pimpin your ride too yo!"
Just don't let the cows see it, they too will customize it by will eating all the wiring when you go in to eat lunch!
