New to spider plasma

Hi my name is Anthony i am a hobbiest and retired tool and die maker . Hope to meet many friends here. Have had a plasma cutter for years(Hobart 27i). But since i retired i am wanting to get into some serious fab work with my two sons. I have a lot to learn and hope you guys are willing to help an old man with his retirement passion.

Anthony - welcome to the forum. "hobbiest and retired tool and die maker" is a super great combination! What sorts of projects to you hope to make, and are you planning to buy a cnc plasma table? If so, have you thought about which software you might use? There is much great information here for software, hardware, and cutters. Good luck with your new venture.

I have the Hobart 27i and just bought a Primeweld cut60 and the Arcdroid CNC robot. Also have the Hobart 140 handler and the Vevor 250 mig stick lift tig combo and the Eastwood 200 digital stick tig combo No heat in shop to cold for this old man this week in the low to mid 40's. I do just a little for public mostly friends and family . And any fun project i want to tackle. Also have a few shop machines Mill, lathe, and surface grinder. So any thing i can dream up i will tackle . Ben down ever since August 2020 Covid almost killed me. Just this fall getting back to about 75% full strength. Next spring and summer should be great for the shop

Hi David.
I am no good at g code and softwear . So i bought the Arcdroid. Think it will serve me well as i will be doing some signs and a bracket and hole patterns in steel and aluminum and support plated . 99% of the plate will be .5" thick and under.
