The best way to do that is to just redraw it. What program do you use? I use coreldraw, If you were to import you can redraw with basic shapes right over the original. There are alot of videos out there to help. But we need to know what software you are trying to use.

I did that when I first started...the only way was to break out the fine pen in the paint program and to trace the image along the edges...royal pain...then get it into the plasma cam and clean it up a bit....spend the money and get croel or another program...you will thank yourself for it later...

ohh yea, paint... Plasmaspider store has a special on Coreldrawx5. Well worth the money. You wont regret buying it, and the good thing is most people on here use Coreldraw, so if you have a question, there should be alot of answers. If you want, go to Corel's website and you can download a free 30day trial of X5, then you can see how it works before you buy it. :D

One way that I have used Paint is to pick a color that your picture doesn't have in it, use pencil to trace the parts you want to cut, then when you import into Plasma Cam you can delete all other colors. It is slow and not as good as some of the other programs in experienced hands but it will work.

Thanks, Benjiman. Guess I'll have to go do just that. I have seen some of the pics posted and others had turned them into nice cutouts.

This should get you started JT. I just redrew it all. Try it in 3 layers and paint the weld bead nuggets gold, I think it would look cool. As always edit and offset for cutting...............Russ K

I used PlasmaCam Design Edge, imported the bitmap and then just redrew the whole thing. Just noticed that part of the gold pan will drop out so don't forget to examine and edit. Don't want to take all the fun away........Russ K

Thanks Russ. I did a few little clean up and then cut it out to see what it would look like. Not bad. I'll make a few more changes for the next one. Thanks again.
