Black an white vector

Hi, is there a way to edit a real life picture of somebody, into a black and white vector/svg image that can then be cut out to resemble said picture?

Alot of people in the cricut community seem to like Vectormagic for making SVG's out of pictures.

There are some imaging software that will convert color to BW images. You then could do a manual trace of that image for the end project. This has been talked about here in the past. You may use the search function in the upper right a look for older posts of the procedure member have done. Type in "Manual tracing" many posts for you to check out.

Perhaps post an example of the sort of photo you wish to convert. I have used VectorQ with great success for some conversions. It's a free app for Ipad, and I run it on an Ipad Pro. Fellow member Dave Hanks put me onto this program many years ago. On the other hand, good old fashioned manual tracing may quite often provide the best results for cnc plasma cut "portraits".

A few examples of Vector Q output. Of course these will need creating editing to produce cut ready files. There are also a few members who will provide this service for you. Manual tracing may be the best option for getting the most realistic details from a photo.
