Ways to cut AR500 steel targets with a Cut 50 plasma cutter

I am looking into ways to cut AR500 steel targets with a Cut 50 plasma cutter So far I’ve managed to make really pitiful ragged cuts in 1/4” AR500 steel and I was assuming that a cut 50 running in 220v would do this well. I am wondering what I’m doing wrong. Any suggestions?

Perhaps share some photos of your cuts, and tell us more about your settings. Which table/controller are you using?
