Proma THC Hypertherm 45xp settings

Post by 7 J style »

Hi everyone,
Im cutting steel with machine torch and on curves my torch is not moving up quick enough and moves the torch head off the mount. What setting am i missing to adjust the torch head to move up off the material?

I am not familiar with the UCCNC software, but perhaps there is a setting for "Slower on circles/curves under xxx diameter". You could also try reducing your corner acceleration if your software offers that option. The screen shot below of from the Design Edge settings for the table I use.

Sounds like your THC is not functioning. If you were to place a piece material on a slight incline and cut a straight line up that incline would your THC hold a consistent torch to work distance?

If you are using the Proma 150 there is a setting for the voltage tolerance shown in the attached image set it to a low voltage. Test is out as it may bounce up and down if to low.
