They seem to fit together well.
I made a few of these a couple of years ago, but nothing sticks out in my memory as a problem, which I usually do remember those to elf correct if possible. .
I remember doing some grinding on the high spots that stick up after welding so that all surfaces are flat.
I have used them several times.
The large width of the squares makes them square both ways which comes in handy

Nice design Doug. I opened the file with Design Edge and did find a few minor issues. Here is the edited file.
Thanks,
David

Thanks David, but cant take credit for them . not my drawings. I just saved them and burned a few of them some time ago. I think I cleaned my PCM file after downloading it into DesignEdge but never exported back as a clean DXF and forgot that there were any issues. Thanks for fixing

Thanks David, but cant take credit for them. not my drawings. But they do work really well.
They definitely are no machinist squares, but work great for the welding shop.
I just saved them and burned a few of them some time ago. I think I cleaned my PCM file after downloading it into DesignEdge in my shop, but never exported back as a clean DXF and forgot that there were any issues. I do not have DesignEdge on my office PC and access DXF files through cloud services, which is where I save stuff and share when others have a request,,
Thanks for fixing
Edit: I just overwrote the prior welding square DXF file with the "few minor issues" with the one that you cleaned up. Thanks again David.

This is another alternative I came up with, they work really well and you have cutouts to get clamps in, I lightly tig welded the tab n slots.

Thanks Sean, I just built myself another set just a few weeks ago, but these look a little more compact, I'll sure try em'. Can never have enough welders helpers/gadgets/etc...in a welding shop.
