New Plasma table user.

Post by Mr62Buick »

My name is Steve. I own a business in Clackamas or again. But this plasma table that I bought is for personal use. it's a plasma cam and that's why I'm here so I can get some help on getting this thing set up. I hope that everybody on here can give me hand to get this thing going. I appreciate it very much.

Welcome Steve. Plenty of Plasmacam users here to help. Did you buy your machine new or used?

I am so excited.... I got it used from a guy for $1500. A legacy original plasmacam but with an updated 5x9ft water table. It didn't come with the plasmacutter, but I have a powermaster 600 hypertherm. I just also purchased the updated torch from hypertherm. One thing is the torch has 3 wires and PC has a 4 wire. I found that I only need 2 wires from both and that will get me started. I have been making DXF files for years now using e-machines free software, but I purchased a 5 year stint for $500 so I can download or send off the DXF files to anyone. I don't see why PC wants me to buy thier design software? I probably won't use it because I don't plan on making signs or cute stuff. Just simple flange files.

You can use Inkscape to generate DXF files for arty stuff or other custom parts you want to design, its free and very useful. Never know when a wall hanger or sign for a buddy would come in handy, may even do some bartering too.
