Post by jgammel »

Have a buddy that is turning 40 next weekend. I have tried to get this to work to cut but no dice. Any help is much appreciated.
Thank you ,

That file is a hot mess. It CAN be turned into a cut file, with a LOT of work.

Jason - your svg file appears to be the result of a poor auto trace. What program did you use to do the auto trace? Perhaps post the original image you attempted to trace so we can see what you started with?

Post the original graphic here. That trace is useless.

Thank you all. I cant remember if I used Inkspace or Convertio. The image he sent me is terrible too LOL, but is all he has, he no longer has his original drawing.

That will need to be MANUALLY traced to create the vector file. It is not a fast or easy task.

Here is a very basic version from Inkscape trace. Perhaps it is something you can work with, or modify by adding more details to more closely match your original sketch.

Thanks! I'm not sure how much it looks like the original image, but perhaps it is something the OP can use or modify to suite his taste.

Jason - you are quite welcome! It's not perfect, but perhaps you can edit it a little bit to make some improvements. Yes - please do let us know how it turns out, or if you have additional questions about editing it.
