Hockey files

Anyone have anything hockey related, have to make something up for a raffle for my sons hockey team.

Dennis,

Hope this helps. I did these for a friend of mine who has a couple of champs in the family. I think I got the image of the player from this site, but then built a frame and personalized one for each kid. I'll dig around and find a picture of the finished product and post it.

We've got good hockey in Minnesota.

Might even come up there and kick some Canuk a$$.

Do you have this file in DXF I cant open the pcm. It looks great I have two boys that would love to have this in there room From Minnesota of course.

Jim, I have a question regarding your dxf files. Is there a reason the files have a small gap between the lead in and the finish point on the cuts? Is this to stop the part falling out or to stop the divit created or ....?

Larry,

I never noticed until you mentioned it. Sometimes when I convert, it puts that small gap in there, in other images that I just looked at, it didn't. With the gap, It is so very small that the parts just dropped out as though there was no gap at all. I have a PlasmaCam so I can only assume that the gap or no gap just happens. Maybe someone else can come up with a better answer.

I should mention, that I only posted the PCM version. Brian then converted it to DXF. Maybe his software puts gaps in things and mine doesn't. I looked again at some of my DXFs just now and some had gaps some didn't. I am thinking that when I scabbed a DXF from this site, that those were the ones with the gap because of the software they were using, and the ones I did myself did not have a gap. What say you Brian or PlasmaJoe?

Jim, no matter which version of plasmacam you have it has a setting in your configurations called gap at end of loop, this is so you can tweek if you have bumps or divots at the pierce point. simply set it to zero if you don't want it. You are probably only getting it sometimes because some of your saved config setting have it set for a gap when you convert your drawing...

Yeah, I remember seeing that setting, but I never did anything with it. I have never changed it. I will take a look at it when I get home tonight. I assume you mean there could be a small divot where the cut ends if you have it set to zero, and if it is not zero, like yours, the cut ends a hair before where the cut started which leaves no divot.

Correct
The best thing you can do when you save a copy is save it without cut paths and convert it before you cut that will also make it a lot easier to change or modify your drawings at a later point
