I am using the designedge software for plasmacam.....the drawings are manually traced from the imported jpg,bmp., or tiff
Of course I use the word trace loosely as not all stuff can be traced, and needs to be drawn by hand such as where contours are and things, but it is a lot easier when you can draw right on top of a picture if needed. I didn't learn all of the tricks overnight and I still have a long way to go.......and Im still learning, Heck I bet we all are. Practice, Practice Practice. In my spare time I will draw things that I don't even need and probably will never use in a drawing, but it is the practice that helps. Cars automobiles and machines are pretty easy to me, I would love to learn how to draw faces of people, but every time I try it comes out looking like some kind of Alien goo......
