Porsche Keyholder

Post by adbuch »

I used the idea for the Jeep Keyholder that dbrub2 posted and modified it to make a Porsche Keyholder.

The original thread is here:

David you need one of these for your Porsche 914, you may add a "bow tie" to show where the power is. :Like

Tom - great idea! I am working on one. It looks pretty good, but I can see there will be problems with thin areas need to be addressed.

Tom - here is a slideshow you may not have seen with some additional photos of my V8 914. It says 2.0 on the back of a car, but it's really a 5.7.

Tom - yes that was my '32 5-window coupe project car in the background. I sold it several years ago to an old guy who really wanted it. He drove all the way from Colorado to Tucson to pick it up. My current project cars are a '29 Ford coupe and '52 F-1 truck. Here are a few pictures.

I remember you built a really nice model A hot rod (I think it was a sedan delivery) and even had some pictures with a model to show it off. Perhaps share some of your photos of the car.

Thanks,
David

Plasmanewbie and J-SIG - thanks for the compliments on the car and keyholder design. I will post the keyholder for the Porsche 914 once I get it sorted out and plasma cut friendly.

Here are images of the 31 Ford Tudor I built many years ago. Chopped top channeled body, flush fit doors, custom firewall, custom frame. Image of how it left here and the guy finished it and a Calendar shoot from a car show. Others of the 34 Ford Fodor Sedan I did a ton of work on, custom firewall, dash, boxed frame. I also built a from scratch fiberglass 30 ford woodie, a guy in So Cal bought it for a logo for his Chili Dog stand. Ag yes the good ole days :Sad

Tom - those are some great looking projects you have worked on. I personally actually have more fun doing the metal work and welding/fabrication. I expect you feel the same way. I used to really be into the Model A's - particularly the 28-29 roadsters. A few years ago I had a bunch of them - but have since downsized in favor of some older motorcycles. The motorcycles take up less room in the shop.

That last picture is the chassis under my current '29 Model A coupe project.

Very nice, yes the fun of working out the detail of construction and the fruits of the labor to see the finished product is a joy. In some ways the process is a type of artwork. " I expect you feel the same way." Yes sir this carries on with many here with different projects they have too. Putting the mind to work on the detail then putting the into practice then to the finished ride is fun. A few more images

This shows the hidden hinges and flush fit doors, lots of body work to made the changes to a Model "A" body.
