Added letter in Inkscape won't show up in sheetcam

I added letters to a file I created in Inkscape and qcad. But they won't show up when I open it in sheet cam. I tried several font styles cause I saw that could be an issue but I can't seem to figure out how to make them appear.

I tried to attach pictures of what I have going on.

If you place letters in a project you need to make them a path before they will show in a file in SheetCan. In Inkscape type test then while highlighted click on path menu and object to path.
3 files one in Inkscape with 2 lines of text on is a path, loaded the DXF file in SheetCam and the non-path does not show.

What Tom said.

In Inkscape, select your text and then "Path, Object to Path" to convert it to vector format.
If you don't do this, it will not show up when you import your dxf or svg file to SheetCam.

In qcad, you have to use EXPLODE on text to make it a path.

Mo - from his screen shots it would appear he is using Inkscape for this example. But thanks for that information about QCad.

The first image is qcad, second is inkscape.
He could have done it in qcad by exploding the text.

OK. Thanks for that update! I didn't look close enough and was just assuming he had Inkscape guides on. I guess QCad has guides as well.
