With the standard 45 you will want to be at around 18 ipm cut speed with a 1 sec pierce delay and .150" pierce height. Do some test cuts with those settings and tweak it from there. Cut chart for the 45 can be found here pspider/cutcharts/Powermax%2045XP%20Cut%20Charts.pdf

I believe the Z-shift or Arc voltage shift are only changed if your pierce and cutting heights are not what you set them to be in the software. If heights are accurate don’t need to bother with those.

You need to autocalibrate your Z-Shift and Arc Voltage Shift. Initialize your machine, then to to your Settings Height Control tab and check these 2 boxes. Always to this after you initialize your machine, change material thickness, or change consumables. It is also a good idea to do a test cut after you initialize/autocalibrate. Draw a straight line about 8" long, start your cut, and pause about half way along the cut and physically measure your cut height (distance between nozzle/shield and material surface). It should be pretty close to your specified cut height (normally around 0.060").SanAntonio#CNC123 wrote: Thu May 01, 2025 12:44 pmweldguy wrote: Thu May 01, 2025 12:30 pm With the standard 45 you will want to be at around 18 ipm cut speed with a 1 sec pierce delay and .150" pierce height.
