Lowrider Car club plaque
Hi, could someone convert this into a cut ready file for me please. I am very short on time right now and this would be a tremendous help
The material is 5mm for the main chrome section
3mm for the gold layers, those will be double sided taped on
My kerf widths are 1.6mm for 5mm and 1.3mm for 3mm with fine cut
Happy to pay via PayPal
Thank you

The lowriders certainly do go all out on chrome and engraving. This a one off for a customer but there are plenty of people making good money off plaques

Thanks rokcrler, that will make it much easier if nobody is interested in doing a file for me. Did you find that svg on here?ROKCRLER wrote: Wed May 21, 2025 12:10 pm See if this works for you.

I found the cleaner version of the logo online and used that for the file.
The file has 3 parts, two gold palm pieces the backplate and the text.

4130metalworks - what cad programs are you normally using to create your designs? Are you wanting to learn how to do something like this for yourself? Do you normally purchase files or hire someone to do them for you?4130metalworks wrote: Thu May 22, 2025 9:24 amThanks rokcrler, that will make it much easier if nobody is interested in doing a file for me. i do most of my own design work, mainly on emachineshop. Only because that program is what i started with 10 years ago, really need to learn something better
Artwork isn't my thing, all we do is fabrication parts and suspension

It looks to me like Mo did the file for you. Have you opened his file? I think all it needs is to be resized and the dot connected to the "I" in the text. Add the mounting tabs with holes and edit one small detail on the right side.
Great work Mo!!

thank you rokcrler and David, I tried opening the file a few times with emachineshop and today was the first time it loaded and i realised it was an almost finished file. The only problem is they are slightly different, the palm trees and some cut outs have subtle changes. I will have to ask my customer if thats a problem. Its still a great start either way!

Take a look at the slide show I linked to above. For a smaller part like yours - I would mount it to the wall, stand at least 10 feet away, zoom in with your camera so the part fills your view finder, and take your photo. You need to have your part mounted the same distance above the floor that your camera will be when you take your picture. So in other words, you are looking straight on to the part.
In addition, I would place your part on a clean sheet of white paper and hand trace around it with a black fine tip sharpie. The result can be placed on a flat bed scanner and scanned in and saved as jpeg.
If I was tasked with creating an accurate representation of your part and had the actual part here at my shop, I would use some combination of the photo and scan result to manually draw the part.
