help tracing a logo

Hi guys, a friend from work has a son going into the Airforce and this is there logo. Id like to plasma something out but my cad tracing program is not wanting to work with the yellow in the picture. When I try to monochromatic it, it leaves it out, and when I use the grey scale, its really grainy. The son leaves in about 2 weeks for Germany and was hoping to have the family cut something by then.
